Tuesdays at butterfly bar are a great excuse to see friends, play trivia, and enjoy a delish plate of Patrizis pasta! The workers are kind and helpful despite the long lines and wait times. I ordered the pesto and it was so good! Tasted incredibly fresh and didn't leave me with an upset stomach (as pasta usually does). Patrizis values the importance of fresh local ingredients and it's evident with every bite

Homemade pasta that is to die for. Love the outdoor seating and environment. There's a cute bar next door for drinks and wine. Love coming here for date night but it can take a while for the food (1 hour)

This place never disappoints. Food is always fresh and good, service is always great, and i love the location. It's so cozy and there's tons of seating. We ordered garlic bread to share and wow, talk about good garlic. It is so so good. This is a must order if you come here, trust me, it won't let you down. For mains, I ordered the carbonara and it was very flavorful and they did not skimp out on the pancetta, i loved the egg yolk they placed on top, it really tied the whole dish together and made it more creamy. My friend ordered the red sauce pasta with meatball and let me tell you, that meatball is hefty and flavorful. It is the protein you need. The only complaint i have is the line...it takes FOREVER to place your order and i feel like this process could be sped up. Maybe a QR code or have two machines to take orders? We received our food in a timely manner but i truly dont get how it takes so long to order food, the lines move so so slow...

Patrizi's is a casual spot along Manor Road by the Butterfly Bar at the Vortex. Outdoor parking is available, but can be somewhat limited during peak hours. Would recommend coming closer to when they open (5 pm) to avoid the line. I've been here multiple times with different people, so have been able to try a variety of their pastas and other dishes! Seating is all outdoors and the line can get long. Ambiance is nice in the evening with overhead lights. Service is slightly on the slower side (25-30 min if busy). Carbonara Alexandra ($17, 4/5) - This was the first Patrizi's pasta that I ever tried, and it has a pretty solid combination of pasta with pancetta, coddled egg, gremolata, and cheese. It's definitely on the drier end and is not as creamy as other carbonara versions that I've tried, but I liked the overall flavor. - The gremolata presents more like dry garnishes rather than an actual sauce. Red Sauce ($15.5, 3.5/5) - I thought that this tasted pretty standard with red sauce, pork, herbs, and cheese. Not anything particularly special. Karah's Diavolo ($15.5, 3/5) - Has lemon, egg, rosemary, red chilies, and cheese. I personally wasn't the biggest fan of the lemony and more herby flavor, and wouldn't order this one again. Cacio E Pepe ($15, 3/5) - Had so much black pepper to the point where there are literally clumps of black pepper within the pasta. Was the same with my friend's order as well. Not sure if it was just this time, but would not get this one again. Garlic Bread ($7, 4/5) - Comes with three slices of ciabatta bread, topped with garlic confit, black pepper, grana padano cheese, green onions, garlic oil - Great flavor, hefty amount of cheese. Was not as crispy as we would've liked (possibly bc this was takeout) - On the pricier end for garlic bread Overall, Patrizi's is a nice option for casual Italian food, but not spectacular. Their noodles are a bit firmer than al dente, which makes them sometimes taste a tad undercooked (personally would want them to be a little less firm, which is not something I usually think when getting pasta). Still worth checking it out though if you're in the area!

It was good pasta! When I got there, there was a bit of a line. We ended up waiting 30 minutes before we could order. I got the Cacio e pepe with chicken, garlic bread, and one of the red sauce pastas. The garlic bread was great. The bread was crispy, and the garlic paste was strong and we were given a heaping serving of it. The cacio e pepe was just alright. It was a little one note and was easy to get tired of quick. The chicken on it had come out undercooked. Parts of it were raw and pink. However, as soon as I brought it to the attention of my server, they were able to get another plate out for me quickly. The real star of the night was the red sauce pasta. The cheese on top of it had a sort of lemon zest/ flavor on top of it that absolutely took it over the top. It really added to the complexity of the flavors within the dish. I absolutely enjoyed it and would order that dish again. I like how the pasta is homemade, and everything is very fresh. While that certainly does mean waiting a little longer for your food, it's worth the wait for the most part! The ambiance is great. There is only outdoor seating, and during the winter, they have several heating lamps in the semi-covered outdoor seating area. It is typically very lively and full in the seating area. The service is great. As I said above, my chicken had been undercooked, and they brought me out a new plate and removed that dish from my bill as well. They were also very attentive when we needed utensils or napkins. Parking is fairly easy. The Vortex lot is usually full, but there is street parking nearby. Overall, I'd give this spot a 7.5/10. I'd come back for the red sauce pasta and to potentially try another dish.

While the setting isn't the most glamorous it is perfect for Austin, tucked into the oasis of the Vortex / Butterfly Bar on Manor. Thus allowing them to focus on the quality and taste of the food. The pasta is handmade from scratch and fresh, the tomatoes (and everything else) are idyllic and local, the garlic bread is chef's kiss, and the side of mushrooms is an absolute must order. Don't overlook the pasta and salad if you are dining solo, truly the best of both worlds! The worst part can be the wait to order but it is well worth it. There is lots of parking available. Check Vortex/Butterfly Bar event calendar so you know what you're in for (or be surprised!!) if you are dining in. PS: Be sure to checkout their fabulous cajun restaurant across the street called Vic & Al's. So happy to have both as neighbors!

We got the Abbiocco. I like the garlic bread, salad, and the side dish. 5 stars for all of them. I was not impressed with the pastas though. Their hand pulled pasta is ok. The sauce is very strong in flavor. The lemon and thyme are overly sour. The diavolo is spicy and sour in an unpleasant way. Overall not a bad experience. I'll come back here if someone in the group suggests it.

SERVICE/AMBIANCE: Patrizi's is a food truck that serves up great, fresh pasta! There is a lot with parking and there's also street parking as well. Our food took around 15 minutes to come out, but it can take longer on days when it's pretty busy. FOOD: I got 2 half sized sized portions. My favorite was Karah's Diavolo. It had a refreshing lemon flavor and it was also spicy. The Great Leopold was essentially a basil pesto pasta and it was also good too. I got a side of the grilled chicken for protein and it was very tender and juicy. My friend got the Cacio and Pepe, which was also yummy, but we both agreed that Karah's Diavalo was the best!
